Ronald Ernest Paul (born August 20, 1935) is a Republican United States Congressman from Lake Jackson, Texas, and the last Republican candidate to withdraw from the 2008 U.S. presidential election. He holds a national reputation as the premier advocate for liberty in politics today.
Dr. Paul's consistent voting record prompted one Congressman to comment that "Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers' ideal of the citizen-statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are." Another Congresswoman added that "There are few people in public life who, through thick and thin, rain or shine, stick to their principles. Ron Paul is one of those few."
Below is a video with Ron Paul giving his views on Obama and the New World Order:
The Ron Paul FREEDOM PRINCIPLES
- Rights belong to individuals, not groups.
- Property should be owned by people, not government.
- All voluntary associations should be permissible -- economic and social.
- The government's monetary role is to maintain the integrity of the monetary unit, not participate in fraud.
- Government exists to protect liberty, not to redistribute wealth or to grant special privileges.
- The lives and actions of people are their own responsibility, not the government's.
Politicians go to Washington with good intentions to change it and are often easily changed themselves, corrupted into puppets of the truly powerful.
Ron Paul is among the diminishing few that refuses to be changed by Washington and continues on his quest for truth and liberation for the people. A true believer in a free society and one of the few people we can respect today that holds a position of relative power, or for want of a better word, responsibility.
